Signs You Need Air Conditioning Repair In Bedford, TX
As we go about our busy lives, AC repair typically isn’t the first thing on our minds. Getting to work, taking the kids to school, making other appointments and running errands are much higher on the list. However, we may see little clues about our AC throughout the day that we ignore that could be alerting us that an AC repair isn’t far off. If you’ve started to notice your AC unit is not performing that well but have put off dealing with it, here are a few issues that let you know it’s time to call a professional to check it out.
Your Home Doesn’t Stay at a Comfortable Temperature
It’s common for at least one person to not be comfortable with the temperature. We all know someone that wears a coat in seventy-degree weather or is hot even when it’s fifty degrees out. However, when you find everyone complaining about the temperature inside (including you), it’s time to call an expert in for air conditioning service. Once your repair is complete, you’ll be amazed at the difference in the temperature and you’ll probably wish you had called sooner.
You Can Hear Your HVAC Unit Working Hard
When you notice that your system is louder than you remember, it’s a sign that your system isn’t working as it should. If you don’t think that you need an AC repair just yet, you can have an experienced company do an inspection to see what the issue is. This will give you a better idea of what to expect, or if the sounds you’re hearing are normal. While the experts are there inspecting your AC unit, ask them what you can do to keep your unit in good shape on a daily basis.
Your AC Unit Is Getting Old
Age plays a role in how well your unit performs throughout the years. As the system gets older, chances are you will need more repair visits. Talk to the experts as your HVAC unit ages so you know what to expect down the road. Some people find that investing in a new unit earlier saves them money in the long run because they won’t be weighed down by the repair costs. Others wait until it’s absolutely necessary to get a new unit because the old one can no longer be fixed.
While it’s completely up to the individual, investing in a new unit is an excellent way to save money on your energy bill and get to enjoy the latest advancements that improve performance and ease of use. Plus, you get to avoid all of those emergency repairs that come with owning an older model.
You Notice The Unit Is Deteriorating
If you start to see rust on your AC unit, or if it looks like it’s been beaten up by harsh weather, take the time to call an AC repair company. You want someone who has a trained eye to know whether the amount of deterioration is normal or if you need to start thinking about the next steps to prevent problems in the future.

Job Locations and Reviews
We figure the noise is a mix between the intial rush of refrigerant and the blower motor kicking on. This system is new and all conpenets are in tolerance. The system hasn't been operational is sometime this can be a cause for concern when your unfamiliar with it's habits and intial start up. The system could benifit from a hard start kit as well.
This system has alternating voltage coming from the broad outside. Leads me to believe that the broad out side needs to be replaced. This is a Mr cool mini split system. He wants to check with Mr cool about warrenty.
On arrival system was running and cooling producing a 20 degree delta. Indoor unit was mostly clean, the coil was dusty and there were early signs of biogrowth in the supply plenum. The outdoor unit passed all electrical inspection but was overamping on start up.
Customer stated that upstairs unit temperatures were higher than downstairs temperatures. Found that zone damper for upstairs unit was receiving the proper twenty four volts to close damper, But damper motor had shorted not allowing damper to close. Recommended replacing damper motor for upstairs. Found no other issues at this time.
This system will not be replaced untill system brakes down completly. With that the system could beinfit from a total break down cleaning a UV system and hard start kit.
Arrived for AHC Current UV system inoperable and has growth on the fuel cell and in the supply plenum Recommend upgrading to one of our lifetime warranty UV airflow cleaners Blower and coil are dusty with biological growth Outdoor coil relatively clean Filter upgrade recommended to keep unit clean for longer Customer will discuss options with his wife and get back to us
Arrived for rec work Lifted and supported furnace Reattached file pipe Replaced flame sensor on main unit System left in heating at exit
Arrived for STUx2 Replaced filters Drains clear Condensers clean Capacitors and motors are fine Will return Friday 3/8 to lift and remount bedroom furnace, install IAQ200 and replace the flame sensor in the main house unit
On arrival system was running and cooling producing a 20 degree delta. The indoor unit had clear drain lines and a clean blower but the underside of the coil was dirty due to air bypassing the filter. The outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. I recommended an April aire media upgrade kit to improve filtration and replacing the uv bulb or upgrading to an air scrubber to improve air quality and prevent further biological growth. When I left the system was on and cooling.
Customer stated that indoor unit was making a loud noise. Ran indoor through three diffrent cycles, and was unable to replicate noise. Found no issues with unit at this time.
Tech arrived for rec work. The Zone board was installed, tested and functional in both modes.
Tech arrived at a warranty tuneup. Upon inspection the capacitor was within specs. The contactor was in working condition. There was no observed surge protection. The condenser coils were hosed off to assist with air flow across the coils. The Delta was within range. The filter and blower area was clrean. The drain was clear and bleach was poured. The customer was informed of recommendations today. He will wait until his first payment to update membership. He is interested in UV system but will review the quote with his wife. The system was functioning upon departure.
Mike R. completed annual heat and air conditioning system tune up.
On this tune up I discovered the basic blower motor cap out of tolerance. I also moved the blower motor to a slower speed for heating. He has a new EVAP coil replaced under warrenty. The condensor also had a bad contactor. After everything they system is updated cleaned and ready for heating
Tech arrived at a no heat. Upon inspection the board was getting low voltage call into the Zone board but it was not leaving the board. The various other components were checked. The transformer was replaced. The Zone board appears to be faulty. The customer was informed of recommendations today. He decided to have the Zone board ordered for replacement. The board was bypassed so that the customer has heat in the meantime. Honeywell Zone Control board HZ221 TrueZONE Braeburn 3 zone 140303 We will pause for parts and to collect payment
12/19/23 Bring camera back Dec 20th Thursday (Derek B , Mark W) full sewer estimate
Outdoor unit is operating, fan motor is over amping, indoor coil is rusty and corroded, also leak in coil recommended system upgrade ,customer asked if new ducts were needed when replacing ubit i told her not unless they are damaged, may customer has comfort adviser coming out today 3-5
Performed stu, cleaned and waxed condenser, no surge protection present, no compressor saver installed, capacitor in tolerance, filter is OK, blower starting to build up dust, uv bulb is 1 year old and needs to be replaced to be effective, recommend upgrading to iaq200 rms-1 high quality uv system. Customer had me install a compressor saver to extend the lifespan of the system.
On arrival the system was running as intended. I recommended a compressor saver kit to reduce wear and tear on the compressor and a drain switch to prevent a clogged drain line from getting water in the conditioned space. As I left the system was cooling.
Found fuse popped, heat strip contactor causing fuse to blow. Replaced contactor and system operating normally. Custo,er needs new thermostats to utilize heatpump.
Arrived for rec work Replaced both control board and secured low pressure wire to prevent rub outs Customer intend to upgrade his thermostats to Heat pump only thermostats
Arrived to no heat. Only one heat strip was turning on. Discovered a faulty heat sequencer. Once heat sequencer was changed the fan would not turn on. Called Brian H and Mark W to help with rewire of heat strips. Ran blower fan and heat strips through the same sequencer. Performed function check in both heating and cooling. System set to heat upon departure.
Arrived for service evaluation #IAQ Fuse is blown Both board are overheating Ordering both Copper applied for discount and warranty Recommend replacing contactor as well System has no surge protection or water safeties Filtration upgrade recommended due to allergy symptoms and biological growth contamination present in the system
